Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

Jesus Christ - The World's Lighthouse To Salvation

What did Jesus mean when He said that He was the light of the world? Are believers the light of the world also? The first analogy that involves my thoughts is the lighthouse. The lighthouse is the perfect metaphor for describing the Christian life. The lighthouse is a tall tower constructed on a powerful foundation with a beam of light that help with the navigation of ships to the shoreline or harbor mouth. The identical goal within the erection of a lighthouse is in close comparison to the aim of the believer's life by Jesus Christ.

The lighthouse is a tall tower that's normally constructed on an island or cliff. They are built near the sea; however, placed on a robust basis above sea level. The lighthouse is used as a refuge to lost ships for steering and safety purposes. The attributes of the lighthouse are much like the hope we've got in our Savior. Jesus Christ came as refuge to a dying, sin-sick world. We obtain salvation by calling on the name of Jesus Christ. That is the only name through which anyone may be saved from an eternal death. His very name idolatry is a strong tower because the righteous can at all times relaxation in the safety of His love and strength (Psalm sixty one:three). Now we have to keep our eyes above our circumstances and keep deal with our religion in Him. Our God is truth. He's our Rock that's incapable of change. We now have a powerful foundation in God by means of Jesus Christ which provides us the assurance of everlasting life (1 John 5:11-12).

The lighthouse has a leading beam of light that rotates across the water in a unique sample that allows ships to remain centered on their vacation spot and avoid hazards close to the shoreline. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Once we settle for Him as Lord and Savior in our lives we've got that same "light" inside us. Now we have been sanctified or set apart for His good works to a misplaced world. Because of the "light" that is now in us, now we have turn into a peculiar individuals (1 Peter 2:9). Our sample of residing needs to be based mostly on the life Jesus Christ exemplified when he lived on the Earth. We're to live our lives in such a method that the unbeliever might be drawn to the "light" in us and search salvation by means of Jesus Christ. After we enable our light to shine, it helps others from regularly stumbling in the darkness of this world. Our lives should illuminate the everlasting hope we've in serving a loving God and deter a dying world from the hazard of being eternally separated from Him.
